Kaoba Liquid Music (Baquerizo Moreno y Av. 12 de Octubre, Quito) – located across the street from Swissotel, this is another hot spot for local college students. This is a popular place for birthday and bachelorette parties. Mostly DJ-driven dance and Latin rock & pop music is played here.
Excess Club Uio (Plaza Foch/Marsical Foch y Reina Victoria, Quito) – this is another party destination at Plaza Foch (playing everything from “Top 40” international pop music, to Latin Rock, as well as House music, and even some Salsa and Reggaeton. College girls sometimes throw bachelorette parties there.
El Pobre Diablo (Isabel la Católica E12-06, e/La Floresta, Quito) – located a walk away from the popular Mariscal district, this is a laidback nightpot that plays live jazz music (on Wednesdays & Saturdays), and serves decent food. The crowd that shows up here tends to be mature (30 and above).
El Aguijón (José Calama E-7-35 y Reina Victoria, Quito) – located just blocks from Parque la Alameda, this nightspot plays a mix of Salsa and other Latin rhythms mainly to a local crowd. On some nights, there’s karaoke singing with a back-up live band.
